Testimonials and reviews for Sundance Villas Testimonials can also be viewed at the bottom of the individual villa page. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Dear Irene , I just want to say a very big thank you to you for making my stay in Cyprus so perfect. I was in desperate need of peace and tranquility, I found this and more! The villa Aphrodite was perfect and as you said secluded but not isolated, so as a woman travelling alone I felt very safe. The owners made me feel very welcome and the pre ordered shopping meant I could settle in and relax as soon as I arrived. The only thing I can fault is that I booked for a week and not longer, so I would love to return in September !!! I will be in touch shortly to see if this is possible. Kindest regards PS. Your choice in wine (red Status 99 Kolios winery) was perfect too x Dear Irene Hi Irene, Have been waiting for some sun here to recapture the spirit of our holiday - some chance! It is very hard to expand on previous comments of people who have stayed at Villa Aurora but will try. If you need an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life then this is the place for you. We arrived in the dark and in pouring rain so were unable to appreciate the location until the next morning - breathtakingly beautiful! Taking in the panoramic views on the roof terrace as the sun rose with the first cuppa of the day - magic. We live in the country but the position of the villa meant you are able to appreciate the views at all times of the day - and at night the sky was wall to wall stars. Having been to Cyprus before we chose to make this holiday a 'chill out' one which we did to the full - we got up intending to go out, looked at each other and thought 'we'll stay here'. The welcome pack was such that we did not need to go out for supplies immediately and the supplies in the villa are better than home and so we stayed put and enjoyed the ever changing view as the sun moved round. Michael made us very welcome and brought us some home made jam and had left preserved fruit in the fridge - lovely but unfortunately too sweet for us - and we met his wife and his lovely dog Filousa? mid way through our stay. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. Tricia and Mike Ellis Hi Irene, We are back from our holidays. Villa Argaka Shore was great. Spacious, very well equipped, big pool, big garden, 50m to the warm sea – what else shall we need for a great vacations?! Thank you for your help. We`ll definitely recommend this way of holiday accommodation to our friends. Best regards Hubert Laszczyk _____________________________________________________________________________________ Hi Irene, We’ve just returned from our two weeks at Villa Quardia and I wanted to drop you a note to thank you, once again, for the excellent service provided by Sundance and crew. The villa was absolutely excellent with all of the aspects of peace, tranquillity and utter privacy that we look for. The villa is extremely well equipped and very comfortable and the ‘managers’, Dino and Vicky are just wonderful and respect your privacy with great delicacy. We spent a couple of happy evenings with them. Star gazing is such a wonderful experience here that I don’t know why you don’t mention it more in your literature. There’s nothing better than watching swallows swoop to drink from you swimming pool at dusk and then, having dined very well indeed, lying back to marvel at the Milky Way late at night, with just the noise of the crickets to accompany you. Taking this villa means that you must have a car and it is perfectly located for access to all of the ‘good stuff’ that this part of Cyprus has to offer. It’s not a bad life when the greatest stress is deciding whether to laze by the lovely pool or drive up into the beautiful Troodos! We, again, took a 4x4 from Cy-Breeze and all was as good as previously. The car developed a problem but I took it Cy-Breeze and they sorted it out there and then. For me, no company can guarantee that nothing ever goes wrong and a good company is marked by what they do when it does go wrong. Cy-Breeze were great. My only sorrow was that I hoped to meet Nick but he was away in Germany at the time. Favourite meals were eaten at: Samisen Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant in Coral Bay (details on the Web) and is absolutely fabulous. Each party gets its own, personal, chef to prepare their food in front of them (every table has its own cooking range) and it's a full 'show' with comedy, juggling, fire and participative elements. But don't be fooled! Although the 'show' is the wow factor, the food itself is excellent and even the most fussy of eaters will find something delicious on the extensive menu. I can't recommend this place highly enough. It still only cost us about £50 for two of us. Romantica Restaurante - This is an Italian restaurant on the main sea front road between Kato Paphos and the new 'tourist area'. Quite up market and the food is absolutely excellent. Paradisos Hills Hotel - Here, in this very friendly little hotel, we were offered a fairly good menu of fairly good food. But that's not the attraction here. The dining area is on a balcony overlooking the hotel pool and then right down the valley to the sea. After eating, we took our drinks down to the bottom of the garden and sat on the lovely little seat that's perched above a drop (no H&S railing here thank you), watching the sun set in beautiful peace. Very romantic. I'm sure that lots of people miss this place as it doesn't look like much more than a hotel, but it's well worth a visit. The Farmyard Restaurant - In Kathikas, this is a bit of a surprise. It looks just like any other taverna but, once inside, you find it to be much more 'up market', with nice linen, cutlery and glassware. The menu is very good and, when it arrives, the food is excellent. It's on the main road to Latchi and is well worth a visit. The new directions are perfect and could only be bettered by the provision of a native tracker. We would be very happy to stay here again. We’ll be back in Cyprus, and with Sundance, so thanks again and see you soon! Clive B _____________________________________________________________________________________ Hi Irene Eleni at Sa Buneri sends her love, she made us very welcome and we had drinks there one evening and a great meze there one lunchtime. Dropped in for coffee and cake on the way home, at her invitation and she had baked an olive and fruit cake - strange combination. What a lovely lady. We also ate at the taverna in Simou - The Pomegranate - to the right as you come up into the square. A really nice couple now run it and are desperate for tourists. We ended up strolling up to it in the evenings for a glass or two of Keo and ate there several times. 15 course meze for 10 euros!!! Antonia, who runs it with her husband speakes English very well and has taught us some Greek. If you feel you can it would be good if you could give her a boost by listing her in your restaurant list etc. The local elders drink there as well so there is a lot of "local colour". We even got them to acknowledge us and smile by the end of the week! A delightful place and Michalis and his wife made us very welcome. They left us home made olives and jam as well as a pomodoro (I think that is how you spell it) a sort of enormous grapefruit. They also left us loads of wedding cakes ( pastry boules with nuts in the middle coated with icing sugar) apparently their son got married a couple of weeks ago. Just a joy to stay there from start to finish. For us the location was perfect. Cy breeze were very effcient and the suzuki jeep was great fun to drive. We liked it so much we came home andbought one! We had a great holiday at Villa Aurora and have some lovely memories now. We will be in contact again when we want another villa there. All good wishes Maggie & Dave Hi Irene. We always had absolute confidence that Sundance were available with a quick phonecall, and able to work behind the scenes to ensure our holiday went smoothly. Both villas were accurately described, beautifully presented, and exceeded our expectations by a wide margin. The welcome packs were very welcome, and the service from the villas maintenance staff was friendly, helpful and generally unobtrusive. The personal contact with the owners was an appreciated touch and made it feel less like a holiday and more like a visit to a friend's house. I would not hesitate to recommend Sundance villas to anyone, it's been a superb, friendly service from the very first contact. Additionally, the Cy-Breeze hire car service was by far the best I have ever experienced! With friendly, helpful staff always available our vehicle pickup, return and changeovers (and the stolen windscreen wiper incident!) were smoothly handled and gave us great confidence. Finally a big thank-you to you, Irene. Although I am sure you give the same excellent level of service to all of your customers, it really felt like you went the extra mile with our holiday. Having you as part of the organising team gave us a level of confidence that everything would run smoothly that we have not felt with any other holiday company. Thank you for making our holiday a proper holiday! Stuart Morgan Dear Irene, Stone House December First of all Irene thanks for arranging such a lovely villa and location - we did go to Paphos once to look at the harbour after we had been walking most of the day up to Lara bay, That was enough of Paphos for the rest of the holiday, but we may not be typical British Holiday makers. The villa was lovely. Very comfortable, lovely views, well equipped for us anyway, and once we had sorted the fire to take the evening chill off, it was fine. The pool looked good - long enough for several strokes but even with the beautiful weather we had it was still too chilly to tempt us. The first night we tried the fire we found quite a noticeable level of smoke in the room. I think that this may well have been due to me building the fire too close to the front of the hearth. Unfortunately we employed two solutions at once the next night and did not test if both were necessary. We cleared the mantelpiece of decorations and using small pieces of rock as weights hung a curtain of aluminium foil across the top 3 inches of the fire opening - we used a thick stick to extend the centre of the curtain out towards the room in a curve. This prevented smoke from rolling across the top of the fire space and out into the room. At the same time I made sure that I built the fire right at the back of the hearth, and kept it there. We had no smoke in the room at all after that. However, I didn't try taking the foil away to see if it was necessary because it was rather delicate to make and I didn't want to end up having to remake it ! I should give Linda the credit for the design, manufacture and hanging of the foil hood. The only other points relating to the fire were 1. I could not find a poker or something similar to move the logs in the fire. 2. The axe was useful to split some logs to get the fire going with, but the axe head was very loose fitted and I couldn't find anything to wedge it on with. I should probably have contacted Yiote about it but it wasn't a big problem. (Note from Irene, these items are now in villa.) As far as recommendations go - the Aphrodite trail from her baths near Lakki was a superb walk as was a walk we did from Nikoklia up the valley to the deserted Turkish village then up along the ridge to Kukuklia and back to Nikoklia. The walk to Lara on the west side of the Akamas was very nice but there was a marked ignoring of the "no shooting" and "Vehicles should keep to the road" notices, judging by the shotgun cartridges and wheelie tyre tracks on the beach and walking track. All the hill villages were interesting, as were the two Monasteries up on Pano Pageia. We found the more simple looking Cafes/Tavernas were far more interesting with very friendly reception and service albeit with limited menus or none at all, than the larger more salubrious looking ones. This was particularly the case where the locals were present. This applied in all the mountain villages as well as Stroumpi. In fact the only place where we did not get an enthusiastic friendly welcome was in Dionoysis in Stroumpi. The three women serving were more interested in watching the TV in front of the fire with their cigarettes, than serving us. I had to keep getting up to ask for things. It was early I have to accept - probably 6 to 6.30 pm and there were definitely no locals in! The Villa was excellent for winter, particularly as you observed for the morning sunlight which it caught beautifully.. We had inversions below us in the valley on two or three mornings, so maybe the Cottage at Nikoklia would have been under mist at those times and so colder. We liked Nikoklia but couldn't remember exactly where the Cottage was located. I think that we managed to get its general location from the lovely Old Lady running the tiny coffee house but we didn't actually see it. Stroumpi was probably better for the winter because of more facilities in walking distance, but I would like to see Nikoklia in the Spring. (Note from Irene, Yes it's beautiful especially the wild anemones in the valley.) Sundance Villas seem to be a very well organised and customer orientated company and made our visit to Cyprus very easy. Regards and Thanks again. Tony and Linda Owens Dear Irene Sorry to miss you when you visited Villa Timily last week (I never did receive that text, must still be flying around the ether!). We enjoyed our stay very much. The villa was perfect for my dad - he found it very easy to get about in his wheelchair, so much so he especially wanted to take the accessible en suite home! It was very quiet, without the usual crowing cockerels and barking dogs you often get in Greece, which made for a very relaxing holiday! The villa was very well equipped, it was a pleasure to stay in. I think the only suggestion we would make is a side/coffee table in the living area! I'm sure however if the evenings were warmer we'd have been living outside more and not been sitting in the living room so wouldn't have noticed. The November weather was good (as you found too!), albeit a bit colder in the evenings than it seemed to be down in Paphos area from what a couple in the airport said. We did have to succumb to using the air con for heating the living room and my parents room for a few hours on Wed and Thurs evening when the temperature seemed to dip a bit more. Thanks once again for your service, we'd definitely recommend Sundance to others Jacqueline A Hello Irene, Villa Aurora Hi Irene, Now that our holiday is history we would like to give you some feedback. First of all the island is beautiful, the weather was just what we expected and the villa Eleni absolutely perfect! Also we were very satisfied with our car from Cy-Breeze. As a matter of fact, so perfect that we decided already to come back next year. Naturally we will let you know as soon as possible when we can make our definite booking. For this moment again just the two of us, but perhaps we will bring our friends Frans & Didy. We would like to hear from you Kind regards, Guy Moolenaar & Jobs Kouwenhoven The Netherlands Irene, I apologise. It is long overdue. We were very pleased with the villa Argaka Shore. Rooms are of right size and well equipped. This is a convenient place for car-renting, peace-loving tourists. It is 5 km form Polis so very few people come to the beach (80 metres from the villa) and shopping is easy and convenient with well-supplied supermarket in town. Copy/paste the following into Google Maps search to see the satellite view of the villa:35.076971,32.482278 . We specially recommend the place for families with small kids. The paddling pool was THE beloved place for our 3yr old grandson - a safe place for various water games (do not forget to buy a light-weight fishing net!). There was a nice toy box provided by the landlord and a small, but still nice playground just in front of the villa. The nearby beach is a mix of dark sand and pebbles. A committed grandfather is able to clean a 2 sqr meters area of pebbles and create a great place for sandcastle works. For grown-ups a true treat: a reliable Wi-Fi giving unlimited access to the Internet Please note that the early September weather in Cyprus is just great, sea is warm, the sunlight last from 7am till 8pm, evenings are nicely warm. Best regards Romek Kepa Irene Sorry for taking so long to get back to you however we seem to have been rushing about everywhere since coming back from Cyprus. I think we might need another holiday! We had a wonderful time in Cyprus and the Villa Augusta was great. We had a slight hiccup on our arrival as we couldn’t get the air conditioning units to work in any of the bedrooms. I contacted George who came round immediately even though he was at a wedding and after some work by his electrician we discovered that it was a remote control problem. George was very friendly and helpful and recommended a restaurant called Famagusta in Chlorakas, as by the time we had everything sorted out it was getting late for eating. We went to it twice during our stay and were delighted with the food and friendliness of the owner and his staff. It is definitely worth a visit – a real find. Nicole paid us a visit one day after we arrived and gave us a number of ideas for trips and restaurants. Unfortunately, due to the fact that we were there for a family wedding we were unable to do very much, however she has given us lots of ideas for when we return. She was very helpful and even arranged for us to stay until 4pm on our departure day as no one was coming in to the Villa following our departure. That was very useful as we were able to relax by the pool before setting off for the airport. The three bedrooms mean that the Villa is ideal for families... the three toilets were very useful as there is one on each floor. The bar-b-cue was very useful as was the shaded seating area at the patio doors leading from the downstairs bedroom. We loved the fact that there were lots of loungers and parasols and once we got used to the heat we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing by the pool. The car hire company you suggested, Cy- Breeze, were waiting for us on arrival and were very friendly and helpful. Your instructions on how to reach our villa were very accurate and easy to follow – my wife loved the way you mentioned familiar shops etc to look out for to ensure we were going in the right direction – definitely women friendly! The location of this Villa is very handy even if you had no hire car as Nicole informed us that there was an excellent bus service to and from Paphos passing the road end. Nicole also advised us about Stevie’s taxis and we found them very good on the couple of occasions we used them. All in all we were very pleased with the Villa and we will certainly be contacting you again, however we might choose a time when it is not quite so hot! Thanks very much for all your recommendations. Regards Andrew & Wendy Christie Hi Irene, Dear Irene, Aurora was fantastic!! The views are phenomenal, binoculars are essential (We both took a pair). Watching the sheep going to their grazing and the goats going in a different direction was an early morning relaxation we are now missing! The villa is equipped with everything and we found our 10 days just flew. We had a small improptu "violin recital" whilst having elevenses in Simou, a weaving demonstration at the museum in Phiti, great meals at Lisa's, Moustakkalis and Finikas, also the Farmyard in Kathikas which has an extremely good Buffet on a Tuesday evening which is terrific value! A truly wonderful break, many thanks. Bob & Avril Clark. Aylesbury 2nd booking with you this year Dear Irene, Sorry for the delay in replying to you. Villa Ampelitis is perfect! It had everything we could possibly have needed and both Nicos and Nicole were so helpful and friendly. We would definitely like to stay again in the future. Thank you again for all your help. Kind regards Andy Hillier Hello Irene, Replying to your question about the grab-handle at Villa Athena, yes, there was one near the steps and it certainly made a difference getting in and out of the pool. Actually I noticed that everybody was using it and not just me! Another thing which we found useful was a couple of small plastic stools in the villa. I found these helped me get into the bath/ shower. One also was very useful to me in climbing into large hire car - in fact we took it around with us! Testimonial: Highlights of the holiday: What a wonderful holiday - wish we were still there. Cy-Breeze car hire met us at the airport with a much needed friendly face. The villa itself was perfect for us and the pool was warm and inviting and the car even had its own shaded area! Three of our party went out on the Jeep Safari to the mountains and had a great time. On another day two of us went to Polis via the rougher roads via the Lara peninsula. When we got to Polis (where we'd had a villa from you last year) we went to Moussakalis Taverna and had lunch and were remembered from last year! I hired a mobility scooter from Oberon Explorations who kindly brought along a portable ramp so I could get up and down the fairly serious kerbs in the local area. They were much used. Thanks to Nicole the Sundance Rep.for her help - especially in finding out where and when the local football matches were being held. Looking forward to next year - Carolyn, Dave, Victoria, Matthew Ellis and Jenny Hi Irene. Villa Athena:- August 2011 It was great to able to have a swim before breakfast. The pool is maintained to a very high standard. As we were there in August so we didn't need the pool heating, and it was a great temperature anytime of day. Mind you the weather was 37 most days!!! The guy who looked after the pool and gardens was great, very friendly and had a good knowledge of the area, very nice to talk to. The gardens were well cared for and offered sun or shade. The villa had a canopy built on outside where it was nice to eat or read, and the trees also offered shade. While if you could stand that heat the sun loungers could be placed on the lawns. The villa has a carport which was brilliant, as the car was cool to get into at anytime of day. Nicole was great she came the morning after we arrived, she told us allsorts of things. Trips available (discounts for Sundance clients), bus routes, and places of interest, times of business. She also gave us maps of the local area and the island. We booked the Wavedancer Firework Evening though her. It was a great night. Andrea the owner is charming and very friendly. We did eat out every night, but the villa has everything you could need if you should want to eat there. We never had a bad meal while there. We tried many restaurants, but returned to 3 a few times. These were:- La Vigna Trattoria - Italian, friendly service, great food.Try rack of lamb, superb. Coral Bay strip at the far end on the right just before roundabout. Andria's - Good general menu. Food superb and well presented. Service good, but lacks friendly atmosphere!! We returned for the food. Third of the way along Coral Bay strip on the right opposite the hippopotamus. Barone's - Good mixed menu. Food good. Service hilarious, the waiters are a delight, lots of crack and banter. Also very near to villa, "staggering distance". We returned 3 times nice food and a fun atmosphere. 150mts from O' Solomans. Car Hire:- Cy-Breeze. What can I say? Spot on. Gorgeous guy to meet us at the airport, a great start to any holiday!! Paperwork ready. No extra charge for 3 drivers. GPS offered. Someone to collect car on return to airport. All in all, loved every moment. Many thanks to you all at Sundance for your professional service, help and advice. We will be in touch again soon I'm sure. Four happy, relaxed people. Sharon, John, Donna and Mike. Irene Holiday was great. We love the area around Polis/Latchi. Villa Timily is a really nice villa in a good location (short easy walk to beach or town) which we would recommend to friends. If and when we decide to come back to Cyprus I am sure we would consider booking Villa Timily again and using Sundance Villas. Kind Regards Keith Pattenden Hi Irene, “Fantastic! The villa was wonderfully secluded and well appointed; exactly what we wanted. The ‘Irene’ factor and commitment to a ‘human’ and personal service is unique and beyond value. We will be back to Cyprus and it will be with Sundance.” We have arrived home from our two weeks in Villa Eleni and I’d like to let you know how we got on. Firstly, I must comment on how impressed I am with the Sundance service. I have seen other testimonials to the depth of your personal service and I have found those comments to be, if anything, understated. <<...>> Possibly the most impressive thing about Sundance is your attention to all of the little, helpful, details and advice which you offer to clients to add that extra bit of enjoyment to their holiday; I haven't found anyone else who does that. I wanted to get back before making my mind up and now I can say how impressed I am with the experience of booking our holiday through you. Actually, I suspect that the difference is not, really, a 'Sundance' thing, it's an 'Irene Hare' thing. You might like to know that Georgios the Rep made a comment about you which I thought was very telling - he said "Irene is very, very good. She takes trouble to find out the little extra facts and details which just add that extra bit of enjoyment to the holidays of her customers. I have lived here all of my life and Irene has found things out here which even I have never heard of before!". I think that Georgios had it spot on. The bottom line is that we liked this villa very much as it has everything which we seek; seclusion, no overlooking neighbours, great views, well appointed and a big pool. One of the things which we found enchanting and unexpected was that, at least twice each day, swallows would swoop down over the swimming pool to drink 'on the wing'. They did this even if we were in the pool at the time. We saw huge owls, a very impressive hawk and lots of smaller birds, all from our own private viewing platform of a patio. It was great! Mylo's Taverna in Yialia (or Gialia) remains our favourite. Travelling NE up the E704 coast road, pass the sign for Argaka and, a few kilometres further on, there is a turning to your right with lots of signboards; one is for the village of Yialia and one is for 'Mylo's'. Follow the frequent 'Mylo's' signs for about 3 km up this mountain road and the taverna is perched on the edge of the gorge to your left. Especially at dusk, there are wonderful views down the heavily wooded gorge from the dining balcony which is perched on stilts out over the gorge. The building is an old school and full of character. The food is simple but, having been there several times, we are yet to be disappointed. All of the family are there in a really friendly atmosphere and this is a real romantic's dream (yeah, OK, that's me). Viklari Taverna on the Avakas Gorge. We really liked this place; sitting under the vines with just barbecued chicken and pork to go at, and looking at the view down the gorge to the sea. Others told us that they had found it difficult to find and, indeed, there is no sign anywhere saying 'Viklari Taverna'. Your rep, Georgios, gave us excellent directions and, as I had seen images on the internet beforehand, I recognised it. Paradisos Hills Hotel outside Lysos. Owner is Demetriou on 26322287. I can understand why folk miss this one as it just looks like an average, small, hotel. However, it serves really excellent food (and just snacks and drinks too if you like) to anyone. The dining area is a flower wrapped outside balcony which overlooks the small hotel pool and then right down the whole valley to the sea; but you can't tell this from the road; you have to go inside. It's a hidden gem. I enjoy tackling the rougher roads in the Troodos and we get a 4x4 vehicle just for that reason. You might mention this exhilarating opportunity in your 'General info..', being careful to warn folk not to try this in a normal saloon car. From Villa Eleni there is a cracking run with the first third over dirt roads not navigable by saloon cars and all of it fantastically scenic : Take the E703 through Agios Dimitrianos and, immediately after passing the wall of the Kannaviou Dam, take the track on the left signposted 'Stavros tis Psokas'. This is a 20 km track over which your speed will never be more than 10 or 15 km/h, and often much less, (so it takes over an hour to cover this part). Real 'Bear Grills' territory. Just before Stavros, the track emerges back onto a road. From there, pick your own destination but I think that the run through Cedar Valley, on to Kykkos Monastery and back home via Pano Panagia (choice of road or more dirt track) is fabulous. The whole trip takes an afternoon. It is, as you have suggested elsewhere, quite tiring but fantastic fun. We don't like 'village bread' as it's a bit dry for our tastes and we had just about given up on bread in Cyprus when we found Papandropolou Bakery. I think that there are several but we found the one close to Mesogi on the B7 outside Paphos (on the left as you leave Paphos). Fantastic breads of all kinds (including nut breads I've never had before) plus cakes to lust over. We visited several times and even called on our return home journey so that we could bring a loaf back with us. And there is an excellent deli next door, run by English folk, selling good bacon and, for those who just can't live without their staples, pies, curries etc. We took your advice and hired a boat for an afternoon from Latchi Water Sports and had a fantastic afternoon; definitely a 'must' for our next visit. LWS gave us a better rate than advertised and it is much better value than just taking a boat for two hours. We are likely to return to Cyprus again (or maybe Greece) and we will certainly use Sundance again. It is no exaggeration to say that the level of service which you have provided is unique in our experience of this type of holiday. I already think of you as a friend! I found the information within your ‘General Info...’ document very helpful.... We will, definitely, use Sundance again as I think that your level of service is unequalled in our experience. Thanks for making this great holiday possible. Cheers, Clive Belfield Hi Irene!!! So very sorry about not replying sooner! It was always my intention to email you as soon as we got home but unfortunately life has got in the way a bit!! Villa Aurora was absolutely amazing!!! I have to say it was thee best holiday my husband and I have been on in the 11 years we have been together! Words can barely describe it but I will do my best. As you may remember we travelled from Larnaca as we could get better flights. Although this was a bit of a pain after a 4ish hour flight it wasn’t the end of the world and it did mean we could get to the villa without loosing a whole day. When we finally found it and pulled up outside I was completely gobsmacked and sooo excited – I couldn’t believe this place was all ours for a whole week!! Mr Michael (who was lovely) greeted us and showed us round and discreetly left us to enjoy ourselves. We really appreciated the hamper as we didn’t know where anything was and being a Sunday could only assume not everywhere would be open. It meant we could cook a few fried egg sarnies, pop open the wine and beer and go for a swim!! Perfect!! The Villa itself was more than we could have expected – large immaculate rooms and bathrooms with plenty of storage, English sockets (bonus!), massive beds and amazingly cool considering it was 40 degrees outside. The pool was perfect – chairs to lounge on, sun parasols to hide under (I’m a red head so have to be careful!) and best of all, lizards as friends!! We had 3 favourites that we named Boo (as he just kept popping up in the fence behind us), Brad (as he looked a little dopey in a surfer sort of way), and Splash as I had to rescue him from the pool – literally scoop him out by hand! I love lizards so I was mortified one might drown but relieved he was ok! We even had 3 house geckos who accompanied us when we had dinner!!
Now the view! Wow!! I found my favourite spot to have my breakfast was on the top of the stone steps as you walk down to the pool. The morning breeze would whoosh thru gently while I sat in awe of the mountains and hills opposite! As a photographer at heart I could barely drag my eyes away and I took many, many photos (many of lizards!). So when we did drag ourselves away from the villa we went to the baths of Aphrodite, Lancia, and the supermarket in Polis and also had a few evenings there (Polis, not the supermarket) – Mr Mousaka’s was the best by far – Barry is still raving about his meal there and he is still laughing at my face after drinking a neat Ouzo!! Oh and we saw some black whip snakes mating at the reservoir which are harmless but fascinating! But we soon found ourselves back at the villa watching the amazing sunsets on the veranda, drinking wine and beer!!
We have never felt so relaxed – a perfect couples retreat from the stresses of the rat race - it was easy to forget the world outside!! We only saw people when we went out in the car! I could honestly say I could rave on about this amazing place all year – a true paradise! We would definitely come back! Everyone is soooo friendly, the weather was faultless and the whole experience one to remember forever! I can't thank you enough for showing us this Villa and I’m so pleased we dropped everything to go in 48 hrs! and to top it all off we got it for the same price as we went to Minorca in a Hotel the year before! Seems ridiculous now when we could have been in a Villa like Aurora!! It's been lovely writing this feedback sat at work (don’t tell my boss!) while it's raining outside as it made me smile remembering the fabulous week we spent at Villa Aurora! I will follow this message with a few photos I took to help share our experience. (In case you want them for customer feedback on the web.) Please by all means can you keep us in the loop of any special couple’s rates you have on your villas as we would be very interested in them!! Thanks again for all your help, advice and support!! Suzi and Barry Dorr. Note from Irene. I always have couples rates, and extra special rates on certain villas, just ask. Hi Irene We had a wonderful holiday and the Villa Timily in Polis was lovely!! Everything in the villa was in perfect condition and it had everything and more than we needed!! The hamper was all there waiting for us and the pool towels were waiting on our beds ready for us to use, which was a lovely touch!! We went to Anesi restaurant which is just outside Coral Bay, we have been there many times on previous visits to Cyprus and as usual the food, staff and the owners Helen and George were wonderful!! Myself and my family would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone!! The rep was good, she informed us of the explosion which happened whilst we were out there and she also bought along a torch with her for us to keep for the duration of our stay!! The neighbours of the villa were also lovely and friendly!! Thanks for all your help with organizing our stay at Villa Timily, we would definitely recommend to friends and family and hope to visit sometime soon in the future!! Kind Regards Jayne Dear Irene, Villa Aphrodite Please let the owners know we had a great time, and that we very much enjoyed the cake. Hi Irene Villa Eleni was Outstanding, Fabulous, Gorgeous! What a beautiful location! We had a great week albeit very hot. The area suited us very well as we could do so much, as everything is within easy striking distance, Paphos town, Polis, Latchi, mountain drives etc.but whatever we did, it was lovely to leave the crowds behind and get back to Villa Eleni. The views were superb, 180 degrees at any time, with nothing to spoil them. We met the owners, they made us really welcome, lovely people, and they have made the villa a real "home from home" so much cutlery and crockery, incredible. I have already recommended you to friends and colleagues, but I don't want to praise the villa too much or else it will be booked when we want to go back. We would definitely recommend Sundance Villas! Thanks again, Sara S Hi Irene, We had a wonderful holiday at the Argaka Beach villa. The villa was superb, immaculately clean and had everything that we could possibly need. The welcome pack was a godsend as did not have a car initially. The swimming pool was a great size and the kids (and ourselves) used it every day. Great fun! The pool table/ table tennis table was also a hit with the kids. We appreciated the information folder provided and tried a few of the recommended restaurants – the Baths of Aphrodite taverna was a particular highlight with its fabulous views of the Chrysochou Bay and very good value fish meze, (so much food)! We must also mention one of the local restaurants to the villa – the Santa Barbara. The waiters were particularly friendly and the food consistently good. The fact that the taverna is right on the beach and you can sit watching the sun sinking below the horizon whilst sipping a glass of wine, and be within walking distance to the villa was fantastic! We would have no hesitation in recommending Sundance Villas to anybody. The representative in Cyprus, Tanya, was polite, efficient and friendly and helped us get out of a sticky patch when we were let down by our car hire company, arranging for a local company to deliver a suitable vehicle ASAP. Thanks so much to all at Sundance for ensuring that our holiday went as smoothly as possible, Kindest regards, Nicola, Andrew, George and Charlotte S Dear Irene The Cottage was excellent, the owners George and Zoe were lovely. The fridge being fully stocked is a really nice touch meaning you can wait for a day before you have to venture out. The place was extremely clean and tidy, George cleaned around the pool area every morning whilst we were still asleep. The Tantrix tile game was that good that we're going to puchase one in the UK. Thank them for a fantastic time, and making us feel so welcome. Regards, Rik Elliott Hello Irene I would certainly recommend it for both couples and families seeking a relaxing holiday, but within a short walking distance of many good restuarants and entertainment. Dear Irene We had a wonderful time in Cyprus at Villa Vineyard View. The accommodation was excellent after a few minor details were fixed and Tanya and George ( Cy breeze) were both very helpful. We all wished we had booked for two weeks. I would recommend this villa for families, friends or couples as it is ideal for all. It is private enough for couples even though you have two villas next to it, it doesn't feel like it and it is large enough for families to enjoy. We all liked the fact that each bedroom had its own en suite. Kathikas is a friendly place and with great tavernas and close to enough to the airport and other sightseeing places. For the young people in the group it was also easy to go to Paphos for the night life. A truly wonderful holiday thank you and we will definitely use Sundance Villas and Cy Breeze again. Best Wishes Bharti C Repeat clients h Hello Irene On behalf of all of us I'd like to say thank you for a wonderful holiday in Cyprus. Apart from our 6 hour delay at Manchester which resulted in losing half a day in Cyprus, we cannot fault our holiday. The communication between Tanya (Rep) and also Cy Breeze was brilliant. We picked up the car with no problems at all. When we arrived at our villa it was very late and dark. Excellent directions! The villa Argaka Beach was perfect, the rooms, the pool etc. were immaculate. We were able to walk to Liza's Place and Saint Barbara Tavernas. Our 2 girls were very taken with Liza's father and bought him a small gift on our last night. He appeared genuinely pleased and wouldn't let them go without lots of sweets! The Greek dancing in Polis was great fun! The area was beautiful but you need a car to appreciate it fully. It is perfect for families who would be mainly based at the villa due to the distance to a lot of the areas/attractions.....the beach being in its natural state (we assumed for the turtles)... the sea was amazingly warm there. We would definitely recommend the boat hire at Latchi, you need at least 4 hrs to fully appreciate it and I was grateful that my partner knew a little about boats! There was a lot to take in at the briefing. We would absolutely use Sundance Villas in the future. Everything from the booking process, emails, questions answered, reps, villa owner and Cy Breeze made our holiday what it was..Perfect! Many thanks Irene Helen Waterworth h Dear Irene, Hi Irene, sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. The villa Aurora was lovely, clean and spacious. The pool was beautifully refreshing. The view was fabulous and really truly isolated as promised. Every evening was spent enjoying the sunset and the local wine. We would recommend the villa and have done to people wishing for a secluded and very quiet restful holiday. Russ Cornick hr Villa Timily was the perfect villa for my family of 2 adults and 2 children aged 15 and 12. I know the area well as I have stayed in or near Polis 9 times. I checked the villa out before booking to make sure the area was suitable for my electric scooter, as I am disabled. We had arranged a hire car through Sundance with Cy-Breeze. Nick was waiting for us at the airport and was very helpful. The car was only a few months old for which we had paid a little extra. When we have hired vehicles from other companies they have never been as well maintained and clean as this one was. We went straight to the villa and arrived just before midnight. The welcome pack was really nice as it contained everything that we could use, unlike some that you can only use 1 or 2 items. The childrens variety pack of cereals, typhoo tea, nescafe, bread, jams and even wine etc. were picked by someone who had put some thought into it. The villa was spotless with a good sized open plan kitchen, dining room and living area. The 3 double bedrooms were very spacious. There was a family shower room and a very large en suite wet room. The ramps to the front door and to the pool were great but there was even a ramp over the rail for the patio door making it very easy to get in and out. All doors were wide enough for most wheelchairs or scooters. The wet room was brilliant with lots of space to turn my scooter around. There was a support rail next to the toilet and a fold-up stool on the wall of the shower. The floor was non-slip with a wheelchair space under the toilet. Everything in the kitchen was easily accessible with a space under the sink and hob. There is an iron and hairdryer as well as plenty of inflatables for the pool and a few games, books etc. We did have a slight problem with the air conditioning unit but Lee, the maintenance man, reacted quickly to have it repaired. The pool was lovely, with a ramp from the patio and wide roman steps. This was the first time we have had fly screens and I didn't think they were necessary but they were invaluable. We didn't have any spiders, mossies or lizards in the villa which is very unusual. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the beach or up to the restaurants. The beach is wheelchair friendly in the mid to high season asa removable path is laid and you can get to the sea. From there you can walk to Latchi in 30 minutes or so.. There are many restaurants which are all aimed at the tourists and all offer similar menus. We prefer to eat in Polis as the restaurants are mainly run by local cypriot families. From the villa there is quite a steep but short bank into the centre. There are a few smaller supermarkets within walking distance but the big supermarket on the edge of Polis towards Argaka, sells most british branded foods as well as local produce. If you don't want to drive and there are disabled people in the group, then I don't have any hesitation in recommending C & A taxis in Polis. They have minibuses with lifts in the back and passengers who can't leave their wheelchairs, are anchored to the floor. It costs approx. £140 for a return journey and takes 45 minutes from Paphos airport. When you have to leave your villa, they will collect your luggage and you can either go to C & A when you are ready, and their whole family is very welcoming. Our favourite restaurant is Moustakalis, next to the car park in the square. The food is excellent and the welcome even better. The old man who owns it has a long moustache hence the name. His son, Andreas and grandsons run it. You will not get a better welcome anywhere else in Cyprus. Andreas takes the time to talk to all diners and always gives you a free drink at the end. Finikas offers good food as does Chix Chox, both in the square, but the service is better at Moustakalis. Toilet facilities, at most restaurants, I am told, are good, but they aren't very disabled friendly. If you need to stay in your wheelchair, all restaurants will lift the table. There are many places to just have a coffee and snack, but away from Polis square access is very difficult. There are a few shops in the square that sell postcards, gifts etc. One has a ramp but once in, it is very difficult to turn around as the aisles are very narrow. Take your disabled car sticker as you can use it in Cyprus. We were told that prices had increased massively but we found them exactly the same as the year before. With this villa you can have a cheap holiday by dining in, as there is everything you need to cook a full meal or, eat out. For a family of 4 with soft drinks we spent about £80-£90 for 3 courses and a little less if we had mezes. I know this email is long Irene but I find there is so much to Cyprus that you couldn't possibly explain it with any other way. Thanks, Jan Todd Hi Irene, Villa Athena, Coral Bay Sorry for the delay in replying. We had a great time and would definitely book again. We enjoyed Cyprus a lot and the Villa Athena was just as described. It was very comfortable and the pool was great. Also, it was convenient, being only a short walk to the beach, a supermarket and restaurants. The car hire company were also very efficient, as was Nicole who arranged an enjoyable jeep trip to the Akamas Penisula on our behalf. Thank you very much for the efficient handling of our booking. We had a very enjoyable holiday. Best regards. Jill & Graham Dixon hr Dear Irene I would just like to say a few words about how wonderful Irida Villa turned out to be. Typical Cypriot charm to it, no frills but clean, functional, peaceful and a home from home. The views from the upper balcony are phenomenal and the sunset view....wow! Far enough away for some real down time but close enough to walk to local amenities. Would recommend the Stone House for a family friendly venue and some good entertainment and La Vigna Italian restuarant in Coral Bay. Cy Breeze delivered on the car front...I never knew Cyprus was so easy to drive around. Will definitely return. Many thanks. The Futers family Hi Irene, So sorry, I've been meaning to get back to you. My Daughter took some really lovely photos which I will send on to you in another email, you might like to use them on your website for promotion. We had an absolutely fantastic holiday, it was such a great location and your previous clients were correct, you can't capture any of it in a picture. The owners were lovely people and everything was as you said it would be. Cy-Breeze were also extremely good and we will use them next time we go to Cyprus. We have been going to Cyprus for the last 20 years and we love it, so finding another location for us to go is a real bonus. The power failure didn't cause us too many headaches, George/Tanya were extremely good, they sent us regular texts to keep us updated. When he visited us he was sad that he couldn't advise us on Cyprus as we knew as much about the island as he did. The house and its contents were lovely...it was one of the most well stocked villas I have been to and we've stayed in many. It was just like home. I will send you the photos when my Daughter comes back and on behalf of us all, thank you for everything. Kind regards, Linda Sibley Dear Irene
Found everything in our villa Vineyard View in Kathikas was up to a very high standard. Couldn’t have asked for more. Great to be a few minutes (4 to 5) walk from the village to meet the ‘locals’ who were really friendly. It would be unfair to recommend any one of the few restaurants in the village as they were each of a high standard and meals were most acceptable, with a nice welcome in each one. Great scenic views can be had from any of the three villas, which are owned by George; a really easygoing Cypriot who pulled out all the stops to ensure we wanted for nothing. The service from Sundance Villas prior to travelling and whilst being in Cyprus, was second to none. Particular praise for the Sundance Villas Rep, Tanja, who was outstanding in the care and commitment she gave us over a small problem. An absolute diamond, who’se professionalism, empathy and swift actions made sure there could be no further hiccups. She should be treasured by the company !! Overall a wonderful holiday, due in no small part to the personal touch conveyed by Irene. Tom and Pat Ford Hi Irene First of all thanks for the bottle of wine which Michael brought us - he was so helpful when he visited us the day after we arrived. What a great Villa - everything we needed and more - we kept ourselves busy doing absolutely nothing. Have you ever been to the magic garden taverna in Mesogi..................... it's an absolute must for anyone visiting the area - what a find that was. As usual the weather was simply superb and the local area was a joy to explore for places to eat out - which we did every night. A great holiday and we would possibly would book Villa Yvonne again if it's available ????? Thanks once again for another memorable holiday Jim Hi Irene Re Villa Vineyard Breeze, Kathikas Fantastic. The only word that described our holiday. The villa was ......... The village was .......... The setting was .......... The tavernas were ........ As we had recently sold a property in Paphos, we knew our way around so apart from visiting some friends, we spent a large chunk of the time just relaxing in and around the pool. As it was a 4 bed. villa, it was probably "too big" for a couple, but ideal for a large family. If we were to consider a villa holiday again, we would have no hesitation in giving you a call as we could not fault the service you gave us and have already passed your details on to a work colleague for future reference. Thanks once again, Regards, Chris and Derek Petts. Hi Irene Just returned from the Cottage in Cyprus ..... Really enjoyed ourselves. Best holiday. For many years ... Pool and cottage clean and very relaxing.. Zoe and George... Always there if needed and Zoe could not do enough for us, really appreciated her being there ... Hope to return in the Near future. Martin and Elaine Sent from my iPhone Dear Irene Re The Cottage with own private pool The Cottage was very nice. We had a great holiday relaxing around the pool & Zoe and family were very helpful. Everything was there that we needed, it was perfect for a couple. Our hamper included bread and cheese, ham, 2 beers, wine, eggs, 2 small waters, tea, sugar, coffee..I would recommend it. Kind regards Jacqueline Drewett Dear Irene Re review Sundance Villas 2 centre holiday, Argaka and Kathikas We are just safely back from Kathikas. First a confession: I broke a wine glass on our last night - one of the small balloon ones and in the rush as we left we didn't leave a note for Giorgios. Both villas were lovely so thanks for everything. The lady who owned the first, (Argaka Beach) brought sponge cakes for all the street it seemed - I know ours was very nice and was soon demolished by our girls. The pools were, of course, a major hit with the children (and me too). Tanya the Sundance Villas Rep was very helpful - she arranged the boat trip for us as described in your notes, and swimming at the "blue lagoon" was fantastic. We went back a few days later as we hired a boat from one of the kiosks at Latsi. Your directions were really good - we found both villas very easily - even in the dark on the first night. I imagine that you are getting reports of the power situation but there did not seem to be any cuts in Kathikas whereas in Argaka they were twice a day on most days. Someone that we met who was staying in Pafos said that they had been experiencing 3 per day. In truth it was not much of a problem - I think in the whole fortnight there was one time where we couldn't make a cup of tea when we needed it. At Argaka both the beach bar and Liza's were very good - certainly recommended. In Kathikas we liked Imogen's the best (we went 3 times) but the Farmyard was good too - the food at Aozouros was good but the service was a bit unfriendly. On our second day at Villa Vineyard Grove in Kathikas we saw a Griffon vulture go floating over us - fantastic. We also did a few walks from both villas. The scramble up Avakas gorge is worth it - we saw eels in the stream plus the mix of rocks was appreciated by myself if not by the kids. The Pafos mosaics are outstanding and your tip about the back way to the Agora carpark was really handy. Anyway, thanks again, Cyprus has been on my list of places to visit for a long time and it was certainly not a disappointment - your villas were a big part of that. regards Alwyn H Irene, The villa Timily was ideal for me being in the wheelchair, good ramped access to property, wide doors and plenty of room to get around. The wet room was well equipped with grab rails and had a sturdy shower seat. Externally the pool was fine with good strong hand rails and extra non slip surface on the pool steps. I found a threshold ramp in a cupboard which was designed for the large patio doors. The location was good with adequate fencing and shrubbery to protect from being overlooked. The nearby restaurant Karouzis was great and we found two restaurants at Latchi with disabled loo’s, one called Mollis which had very good food. Once again the boat trip and swim were wonderful especially as we had the boat to ourselves. It was a good location, good value for the money and an enjoyable holiday. Regards Don & Sue B Hi, Just back from Timily. What a beautiful villa, both in situation and facilities. Please pass on sentiments to Owners. Regards Andy J Hi Irene, Maria Shee
Re Villa Eleni, Agios Dimitrianos Very nice, privacy was what we wanted and lovely location. Will recommend rgds Ian Coggins Hi Irene
Villa Ampelitis: Lovely villa, it has everything you could possibly need. A big Thank You to Nikos and Nicole for all you have done to make our stay a good one. Village store is very basic but sells essentials. Highly recommended holiday retreat. Tina, Andy, Ben and Zoe Hillier Dear Irene, Thank you for your help in arranging our villa Vineyard Grove, car hire and taxis while in Cyprus. The trip was a great success and I would be happy to recommend your company any time. You give speedy, efficient service with a personal touch. Many thanks! Jean Corbett Leeds Ampelitis = Perfection. The best villa-well equipped, comfy and very well cared for! Thank you Nikos and Nicole. We've had a superb time in your lovely home and would love to come here again. Tips: village taverna: very good and very welcoming. Good value. Periklis-excellent food-well worth a visit. Kalamos winery: excellent wine tasting experience, good wines and prices. Local butcher has superb quality meat, speaks no english. For an excellent take away, Acropolis in Geroskipou, Afelia to die for. Varma and Shirley. Dear Irene Our holiday was absolutely fantastic. The villa Orchard Beach was spotless. Our flight was delayed a couple of hours and as we didn't arrive 'til quite late instead of afternoon......the welcome pack was a lifesaver! We loved the restaurant at Baths of Aphrodite. Had some scrumptious seafood there...Finikas was our favourite restaurant in Polis, and we had a lovely meal at Lisa's place at Argaka, and freshly made souvlaki at Sa Buneriup near the dam. Anura was lovely and helped us out with lots of stuff. The villa and location was ideal for us (middle aged couple). I don't think you could improve on anything and will definitely recommend to family and friends and will be back ourselves soon. Thank you. Diane and Gil Lewis Hi Irene, Firstly apologise profusely for such a late reply. Villa Iris was absolutely perfect for us and what we were looking for. You did us proud in pointing us in the right direction. From the first phone call to getting home it was quite the perfect holiday that you matched up for us. Car hire was first class and it was a great touch to meet us at the arrivals with the keys, it couldn't have gone any smoother if Nick had met us at the bottom of the planes steps with the car doors open! A lovely touch and so painless. The villa was superb, lovely peaceful location and to have the facility of being able to have freshly squeezed orange juice on tap was fantastic. From tree to glass in a few moments was wonderful. The pool was great to have and all facilities and amenities close by if needed. The villa was clean and tidy and the welcome pack came in very handy. Our rep was a great help to us and we tapped her wealth of knowledge on more than a few occasions. Restaurants...well we enjoyed a very nice meal at the Garlic and Goosefat which was about 80 euros for 3 but tasted amazing, although not particularly Greek. The local restaurant that is very close to the villa but its name escapes me, cost us over 100 euros for 3 of us, this was expensive for what was just a 'nice' meal. The best meals we ate were the ones where we drove out a little, we found a great village mentioned in your pack I believe called Kathikas. There were two lovely restaurants opposite each other, Imogens and Yiannis Tavern....well I highly recommend driving here as we kept coming back...the food and ambience in both was superb and half the prices of the meals we had before. The portions were huge and so tasty...I can taste them now as I write...well worth the price of the hire car alone to get there! The villa is ideal for couples seeking privacy or families seeking fun and relaxation. It was absolutely ideal for us and we look forward to our next visit. Tony xxx Hi Irene
We had a great time in Petraspiti Cottage, and Sheila couldn't have been more helpful. We did a lot of walking in the mountains, and would recommend a great little book for anyone who is likes walking: the Rother Walking Guide. And the Cy-Breeze car hire service was great. We would recommend Sundance Villas. Many thanks Rob and Jane Varley Hi Irene We arrived back late last night and had an amazing time. The photographs of the villa really don't do it justice, it was absolutely superb! It was clean and equipped with everything we needed which made things so much easier. Nicole was great and at the end of the phone whenever we needed her, but most of all it was the fact that the villa is finished to such a high standard that made it so enjoyable. I also wanted to add a thank you for going to the trouble of making sure there were some toys there for Albie, as well as the high chair and cot. It made travelling so much easier. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either Sundance or Villa Kingfisher to anyone. Many thanks, Georgina Fletcher Hi Irene Everything was better than expected - the position of the villa, the views and the design and fittings inside. It was so quiet and relaxing - only the sound of the birds and a few little fishing boats. I guess it would get busier during July and August. We met Charoullah and Socrates who were very welcoming and made us a delicious cake which lasted most of the week. Every time I went upstairs I could not believe the views of the sea from the bedroom windows - I don't think you would better it anywhere and also to be so close to such a lovely beach. What more can I say - we would love to return.... four new villas have been built in front - but luckily it does not really spoil the views at all because Aphrodite stands higher and in such a lovely position.
I will certainly be recommending it to all my friends. With best wishes Ed and Judi Kelly Dear Irene We had a beautiful holiday and everything went smoothly... there is nothing to say really other than the services and Villa Rosemarie were perfect. On arrival the villa was spotless and the hamper was put away. The Representative was lovely, she was very informative and kept us up to date. If I had to pick something out I would ask that the actual instructions on how to get to the villa be improved a little as traveling in the dark and looking for small signs proves rather difficult especially when everyone else is asleep! Honestly though,I was so impressed as usually I always come back from holiday with a feeling of "I wish they done this" or "they could have done that" but not this time. I'm that impressed with Sundance Villas myself and Lucy are planning on having a beach wedding next year in Cyprus and I have already emailed you into booking another villa for the dates we are looking at. I will be using you every time we come to Cyprus thanks to you and everyone else who was involved in making our holiday so special. Kind Regards Gareth B Romford, Essex Hi Irene, The Villa Aurora in April was fantastic. You can't really appreciate the scale of the view till you get there. It's a unique spot because you're in civilisation (with Simou being 2 mins walk away) but it feels and sounds like there’s no-one for miles. I don't really have too many negatives for the property because our experience was excellent.. Highlights • Coastal sunsets, mountain sunsets. Best viewpoint for this (after Aurora) was in Paphos at Café Muse which is right on the top of the town next to the church • Clear skies on the roof terrace of Aurora meaning you could see every star you’d ever dreamt of. • Nissi Beach, Agia Napa. We went here to see what all the fuss was about. The resort was smarter than we’d anticipated, and this beach was lovely. Crystal clear water, white sand, an opportunity to walk through the sea to a small island. Only spent an hour here but really enjoyed the paddle. • Boardwalk stroll from Polis to Latchi. • Afternoon tea at Café Aphrodite • Dinner at Sa Buneri nearby. Eleni was very friendly and helpful. We were the only people in the whole place • Lunch at Marias in Phiti (13 euro a head Sunday lunch. Good grief that was a lot of food) Overall Irene, it was a great holiday. Spring seemed liked the perfect time to visit. An orthodox Easter, flowers and fruits coming into season, birds and animals in abundance, no crowds etc. We’ll go back, and probably to the same area. All the best Jamie Hi Irene, We had a great time in Cyprus thanks. The Villa Iris was lovely, clean and beautifully situated in an olive, orange and lemon grove. We had many great meals in Cyprus but anyone staying at Iris is very fortunate to be so close to the Restaurant Palimonastrio which is only a couple of minutes walk away. I cannot recommend this place highly enough and the bar, Georges, just across from it is also very welcoming. Overall we had a great holiday and we would definitely book with Sundance Villas again. Best Wishes Chris Dear Irene, Hi Irene
Now that we are back and things have returned to normal I would like to say a big thank you to you and everyone else for making our holiday a dream come true.
We had an amazing trip the Perla villa in Paphos was excellent, and with the help of Nicole and George it was like home from home.
Cyprus is a beautiful island and we tried to cram in as much as we could, we hope to return one day to see more of the island!!
Everything went as planned with no hiccups, the whole family enjoyed the trip.
Once again a big thank you to you all
Nicki Downing Hi Irene, Just a quick note to say thanks for arranging a great holiday for us at the Villa Orchid in Cyprus. Had a really fabulous break and the villa and car etc all worked for us perfectly, save the rather cold water in the swimming pool, but we won't hold that against you, it is only April after all! When we met up with Nicole she suggested that feedback from us on the quality / facilities etc of the villa would be greatly appreciated and although I cannot think of anything major there may be a couple of very minor points the owners might consider. I'll give these some thoughts and get back to you, but they really would be of a very minor nature. Typically things like, various dustbins / containers for recycling plastic bottles (we generated loads and filled up the one small dustbin present at the villa very quickly). This may not be possible in Cyprus I don't know and the owner did empty the dustbin for us regularly. Found no problems with taking the babies and toddler out or indeed staying in around the villa. The Cypriots are probably the friendliest people I have ever come across towards kids in general. Loads of places just offered free fruit, drinks and food if it was for the kids. When eating out all restaurants had high chairs and the majority had kids menus for the toddler, the babies obviously ate their own home prepared food anyway. The villa is reasonably well kitted out for babies / youngsters too. What I would do is promote the fact the villa is in the midst of a fruit nursery. The oranges and avocadoes are sensational! It is a very peaceful tranquil area, but still right on the coast. But all in all a fabulous holiday was had by all, the owners even made us an enormous cake as a welcome present! Kind regards Duncan Hair Dear Irene
We have just returned from a lovely easy going week in the Villa Argaka Sand. Everything was great from arrival, car hire, the villa itself etc etc
We contacted Nicole on arrival and we let her know we did not need an "arrival visit". She did pop in later in the week as she was coming over to Polis. From both our brief meeting with her and her speedy and pleasant response to our initial text we had every confidence that if we had had any issues she would sort them out in a very efficient matter.
Thanks again
Regards Jo Ryman
We had a wonderful stay at the Argaka villa, the house had everything we needed and more. We especially enjoyed the pool, the pool-table and the nice terrace/ balcony. The food hamper was there and it was nice not to have to go out finding a supermarket straight after we arrived. Of Cyprus we best liked the Aphrodite trail - at this time of the year it was wonderful to see all the spring plants. We also liked Lefkosia, especially the northern part with nice garden restaurants. Nicole was very nice and helpful, she sent us an SMS with a tour offering, we couldn't go but it sounded nice. Our landlord was also very nice and helpful. Thank you very much! Have a nice week - kind regards - Tanja Strecker-von Kannen Morning Irene, I will start off by saying that the Villa Aurora was absolutely superb, beautiful setting, lovely facilities, everything was amazing. The welcome pack was complete with everything as promised, towels were there, and generally the villa was in tip-top condition. From both myself, and Rachel and Lorna, I can honestly say it was an absolute pleasure staying there; hearing the goats across the valley, watching the swallows diving to the surface of the pool to try and take a drink, watching the linnets building their nest, hearing the owls in the evening (we're nature-lovers if you can't tell from this), plus the appearance of isolation whilst still maintaining extremely close proximity to Polis etc. I would like to recommend the wonderful drive up to Stavros tis Psokas forest station, lovely and green, with abundant animals, the views on the drive are absolutely stunning, and the cafe at the station was simple but nice, just be prepared for extremely windy roads. I would absolutely recommend Sundance Villas on the basis of my experience, the girls are already discussing looking at this and other villas with you for an Xmas/NYE break, so I think it's safe to say you have their approval also. I will check with Rachel shortly to see if there is anything else she wishes to say, so you may get another e-mail later, but if not, I wish to express my appreciation for a wonderful villa and service, and hopefully we shall be dealing with you again soon. Many thanks, Chris Sabourin New Malden Hi Irene
I would just like to mention what a fabulous time my mum and I had whilst staying at Argaka Sands. This is my 4th time I've been to Argaka for my holiday over the past 5 years and this villa, by far, beats them all! The villa was beautiful and of a luxury standard, everything was brand new just as you said it would be. We had such a lovely time that my mum wants to return next year as this was her 1st time to Cyprus and was so impressed.
We ate several times at Saint Barbara (Ayia Varvara), a taverna on the beach, and it's only a few minutes walk from the villa. The food is outstanding and very reasonable. The fillet steak was so tender and the sea bass is so fresh and cooked perfectly. Would recommend this place to everyone!
Once again thanks very much for the rental of the villa
Michelle Spicer Sundance Villas repeat client April 2011 Irene We really enjoyed our stay at Petraspiti Cottage in Cyprus. We enjoyed some good walks and lovely meals while we were there. The cottage had everything we needed and Sheila was very welcoming and friendly. We would recommend Sundance Villas to friends and family. Regards Alison Miller Dear Irene We can say, hand on heart, that the villa Ampelitis measured up fully to our hopes and expectations. Everything that was needed was there and the property was spotless. Regards Chris & Peggy Sutton Bournemouth Hi Irene Re: Villa Perla Beach. Our time in Cyprus was great. The weather was warm and sunny most days but we hired a car on the rainy day and travelled around the west coast. We enjoyed eating out in Chlorakas village and Coral Bay but spent most of our time at the villa. Having the pool was fab for our teenage daughter and we used it most days. All in all it was most enjoyable and highly recommended. Kind regards Debra M Brinnington Hi Irene Dear Irene, We had a wonderful stay at the Vineyard View in Cyprus. The villa was very spacious and was situated in a lovely little village with nice restaurants. The village was right in the middle of the wine-area and close to nice things to see and do. The villa had everything we needed. I would recommend the Troodos Mountains to other visitors. Beautiful region! The representative (Nicole) was helpful for questions about the villa. She was very helpful with our question to check out a little bit later, so I would like to thank her for that. I would surely recommend Sundance Villas, as a matter of fact we already did! Kind regards Natasja Hoex The Netherlands
What a wonderful week we had at Vineyard Breeze at Kathikas. The villa was fantastic ! I would have no hesitation recommending it to any of our friends What beautiful sunsets we saw sitting by the pool in very peaceful surroundings (very close to heaven) We have to thank yourself and Nicole for all your help in making our holiday special It was great having a contact who gave us so much local information and we both felt you all went one step further to make sure everything was to our satisfaction Even the owner of the villa phoned Nicole when she was with us to make sure all was ok Many thanks Colin and Karen (Harvie) Hi Irene Thank you very much for a very successful holiday. Villa Athena was exactly as described and well placed for us – close to supermarket and good restaurants. Your attention to detail is excellent and your support in answering all questions much appreciated. We hired Steve’s taxi to and from the airport which worked smoothly and were very happy with the hire car from Cy-Breeze. The pool was larger than I expected (a pleasant surprise) and the weather glorious at the beginning of October. We will certainly be using you again – having confidence in your support and organisation. Kay Patrick Hi Irene Hi Irene Repeat visit to Villa Ampelitis Good holiday again in this lovely country, villa and swimming pool very good, and Nick and Nicole were as helpful and friendly as ever. Our friends were very impressed with Cyprus and especially the villa and may also return next year. · As always the local Kolios Winery Meze Meal – Great views, wine, food, service, and good value for money. · Numerous restaurants including: Moustakallis Tavern – Polis, Farm Yard – Kathikas. · The peace and tranquillity, lovely countryside, and warm climate made for a very relaxing holiday. · Uncongested roads, most of the time we felt like the only car on the road – Great feeling. · Really friendly population of Cyprus again is another very good reason for returning. This was our 6th visit to Cyprus and hopefully we will be returning again in the very near future. Once again our thanks go to Nick and Nicole (and yourself) for making our stay a pleasurable one and letting us use their lovely unique villa and also to Nick for supplying the 4x4 vehicle which has proved to be very reliable. Regards Tom Harrington Dear Irene Thanks for the welcome home. In fact we arrived back on Monday (11th Oct) after travelling on to Corfu via Athens. Villa Aurora was everything you promised and the weather was perfect. We have, for years, taken May and October holidays at our favourite fishing village on the N E coast of Corfu. At those times over there it can be a bit chilly in the evening - and in the pool! There were no such worries in Cyprus and we thoroughly enjoyed our swimming and the long evenings in shirt sleeves on the roof terrace into the early hours. We were lucky in having full moon rises at dusk as well as fabulous sun rises and sun sets during our stay. There were no problems to report when Demitris visited us on the Tuesday, certainly none about the excellent bottle of wine which we were surprised and delighted to receive from you via him. You asked me to be candid about the villa but I cannot fault the provisions or preparations for our visit. .... The foliage around the lovely front terrace gives it a wonderful atmosphere, but we wondered if that could be trimmed or trained in places to take greater advantage of the terrific views. All in all it was a thoroughly enchanting week, which went far too quickly. I tried to sum up our feelings about the villa with our entry in the visitor's book, a picture of which is attached to this email.
I am grateful for your attention to detail before during and after the holiday With kind regards Alan Bell Hi Irene Once again we had a lovely August holiday at Villa Kingfisher and found it in excellent shape throughout. We were pre-warned about the air-con and this was repaired on schedule – even better as Andreas bought us the most fantastic Chocolate Cake ever!!!! The pool and garden area were maintained to the highest standard – and our pool was always exceptionally clean. We loved the new dining furniture in the garden. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever – the pool was a bit warm though !!!!! As you know we hired a cot for our 14 month old grand – daughter – although the travel cot was in situ when we arrived..our baby could stand and we were pleased we had hired a proper drop side cot… it may be something to bear in mind for future guests with babies. Kindest regards Sandra M-T Hemel Hempstead
What a wonderful place Katerina Cottage is! Having just returned from our first vist there - although our 10th visit to Cyprus - we just have to write and say a very big thank you, and add that Katerina Cottage is in a wonderful and peaceful setting, and provides everything you need, and we have thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks there. Also "thank you" to Nicole for her assistance - although this was only required on one occasion other than her first visit to us shortly after her arrival. We think it is a brilliant idea that your local representative can be contacted by text in the event of any queries, and you don't have to wait in for the next visit. Perhaps some of the bigger tour companies could learn from this example? We had a wonderful coach trip to Famagusta and Salamis that Nicole arranged for us, both of which are in the occupied area in the North of Cyprus. The last time we visited both of these was 40 years ago, in 1970, before the invasion. We can highly recommend that trip. Also to Lambros the owner, who we met on a number of occasions which included his 'tour' of his Pecan plantation and showing us where we could collect fresh eggs (although we didn't take him up on that offer as I am not supposed to eat them!) and help ourselves to Pomegranates and Lemons straight from the tree. But a special "thank you" must go to him for changing the automatic light settings on the wonderful pool to enable us to have a swim around midnight to cool down before going to bed! This was indeed a real luxury! Although we won't be coming back to Cyprus next year, as we have already made arrangements to visit our second favourite Mediterranean island, Rhodes, for our 2011 holiday, we hope to come back again in the not too distant future, and will most certainly look to coming to Katerina Cottage again. With our thanks again, and looking forward to a future visit. David & Elizabeth Bush Sept 2010 Hi Irene, Just returned from our holiday in Cyprus staying at the Aphrodite Villa. This Villa was absolutely lovely. We were met by the owner who was friendly and welcoming, and had baked a lovely cake for us and put a vase full of red roses on the table. The Villa was decorated to a high standard and the furniture and fittings exceptional a very comfortable place to be. The view from the bedroom balcony is exceptional and to the left, is beautiful. We had a lovely time and wished we had booked two weeks. We did ask Nicole if the villa was booked from 29th, it was so we couldn’t extend our stay. We would consider booking again for next year for two weeks ... It was a truly lovely holiday and thank you so much. Hi Irene |
