While on Holiday
Arriving at Paphos or Larnaca Airport: You are not met by us at the airport. Whilst here, collect free maps and information from the Cyprus Tourist Office in the Luggage Carousel Hall open daily until 23.00.
Arriving at the villa: You are not met at the villa. Take Villa Directions and Key instructions with you for your arrival, even if you are getting a taxi. Nissos and Stevies taxis do not have your villa number or (naturally) your key safe info.
At the villa
At the villa
Electricity and plugs: The supply and sockets are same as UK: 240 volts, a.c. 50HZ. Be prepared for a power cut, they are common. If this happens please contact your owner.
Water: All villas have drinking water in the kitchen via a separate small tap, just to the side or beneath main taps. Expect low pressure in your shower, this is normal. Hot water is from solar power, so if you want some left in the morning, use it carefully at night. Unlike U.K., the hot water can take more than 2 MINUTES to run to warm/hot.
Toilet paper. This must not be put in toilet, there is a small bin provided by the WC. In the case of the narrow pipes blocked with your paper, plumbers will be chargeable to clients.
Air Conditioning. All owners are bill conscious as Cyprus has the most expensive electricity in Europe. Air con is very expensive to run. It should be set at 25/26 degrees Celsius, too cold is bad for health. Ask the Owner to check the temperature & demonstrate remote controls when he visits. Please also turn lights/gadgets etc. off when not in use.
Paying for air conditioning. Costs for this will be clearly stated on the web page. Cypriot manners make owners shy to ask for the air conditioning money, so please offer this when you see him, it will be enormously appreciated, and means he does not have to disturb you again.
Your villa owner speaks English and can help with any villa problem. Contact him directly, not your Representative if anything is not working or broken, when you discover it.
Please ensure sun lounger mattresses do not enter the pool. Items/furnishings from the villa are not to be taken outside and garden items, i.e. umbrellas etc. (unless marked to the contrary) are not to be taken to the beach.
Please settle all breakages and damages there with your Representative or Owner.
For bookings of 10 or more nights the villa will receive a light clean and linen change as per villa page.
Your Representative is there to offer local Cyprus information, provide discounts on excursions or to pay you a visit. She can of course offer support with unresolved problems after 24 hours. Your owner contact info. is on your directions.
Your Representative, Helen can assist you within these 6 hours daily Monday to Friday as follows: 09.00 – 12 midday and 15.00 – 18.00.

On departure
On departure
Please leave the villa as you found it, clean and tidy, with all washing up done, surfaces wiped, and grills, oven, fridge, microwave and BBQ clean and ready to use for the next clients (including BBQ grill and utensils) as they were for your arrival.
(Your maid is not paid to do the above, and she can then clean the villa for next arrival in the very limited time.)
Rubbish should be bagged up and put into the villa bin if available, or in the green bins by the side of the road. As in UK, never leave rubbish bags in garden or villa. More information is in the Folder in your villa. Thank you for your co-operation.
