Markets in the Paphos Area
There are a variety of markets/car boot sale in the Paphos area, Cyprus. Here are some of the regular ones that we have found:
Old Town Market
–
The Paphos Market is held in the old town region of Paphos near the Post Office and the Moutallos Mosque.
The market is open every day from around 08.00 to 13 hrs, except Sunday and is easily accessible as buses (at 1 Euro per journey) go from all over Paphos to the market.
There is a variety of shopping to do ranging from fruit & vegetables, (best on Wednesday) seafood, leather shoes and handbags.
There are some taverns and restaurants nearby where one can rest after a long day of shopping — there is parking located opposite the entrance.
Duck Pond Market –
Open Wednesdays & Sundays 8am – 2pm.
These are mainly car booters trying to sell off their personal items, lots of junk but there are some good bargains to be found.
It’s located just off the main Pafos – Coral Bay road before the left turn to Akti Hotel (coming from Pafos).
Timi Market –
is open on Sundays only, 8 am – 2 pm. Timi market is an open-air market located not far from Paphos airport. You’ll most likely pass it when you’re on your way to your villa but you won’t see it as it’s only open Sunday mornings.
It’s a mixed market with ex-pats, local Cypriots & anyone else who wants to sell their goods here. You can buy almost anything you like here, and it’s most probably the biggest open-air market in the area.
Paphiakos Market –
The ‘Paphiakos’ market is held at the Paphiakos animal centre every Saturday. it’s just along the road from the Begonia Garden centre (just up from the harbour at the crossroads) going away from Tombs of King’s road. There are similar items to a car boot sale.
