How to choose the best wheelchair accessible or disabled friendly holiday villa
This is crucial for your holiday in Cyprus. Everyone in your party needs to enjoy themselves. At Sundance Villas, we are here to assist you with your villa search. We understand how stressful and daunting this can be.
All of our wheelchair accessible and disabled friendly villas were architect designed along with valuable wheelchair user input. They are not “adapted”. Adapted properties can have hidden problems:Can you imagine arriving at your holiday villa and you cannot get to the front door as it is too narrow? You can get in the front door, but not into your bedroom? Maybe you can get in the bathroom, but not into the shower? Or even worse, you can sit on the loo, but you cannot get off?
The list goes on! No wonder people with disabilities are hesitant before they book.
With this in mind, after lengthy discussions about the lack of truly wheelchair accessible villa accommodation in Cyprus, and with encouragement from me, (Irene), Nikos and Nicole Kyriakides bought a beautiful plot in their home village of Statos – Agios Fotios in Paphos, and enlisted a top architect to build them, from scratch, a disabled friendly accessible Villa Ampelitis. It is unique in both Cyprus and Europe!

Of course, anyone can book it, (many of our bookings are from guests with no disability at all) it just has, on request, extra facilities if needed, i.e. the fantastic pool hoist, bed rail, profiling bed, adjustable height beds, grab rails and so much more. Ooh did I mention that the beautiful indoor heated pool heats up to a warm 30 degrees Celsius? That’s jacuzzi warmth!
We also have three bedroom Villa Timily with pool hoist in Polis. This beautiful property was also designed from scratch, by its disabled owner, so it has been well tried and tested before being rented.
Villa Timily leads down to the level beachside promenade that goes all the way to Latchi. Here is our client Mr Stanley with his daughters, testing out the new route!
